The location and views from Lavender Cottage are fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed using the deck and pool, and watching the sunset each evening. As discussed with Peggy, the shrubs along the water need to be trimmed a bit to preserve the view. The house has been tastefully decorated and the kitchen is very well equipped, despite the lack of a dishwasher. We found the cottage very comfortable for our family, although some people may prefer a more luxurious home including a true "master bedroom" with a larger bed. We mentioned to Rabanette that the pool seems to have a leak (we filled several times), and the water cooler in the kitchen may be leaking. We would definitely rent Lavender Cottage again - it's a great family value. Thanks for another wonderful week in Hope Town!
Thanks for the reminder about the cork trees on the water's edge - every time I come by boat in the harbour I am reminded. They grow so quickly! I will check the pool leak out - sometime evaporation on sunny days and children splashing out (I was a great cannon ball maker in my youth) can make topping off the pool necessary. I will check the water cooler - sometimes it is the bottle or the placement of the bottle. Thank you for giving us a head's up and look forward to having you back on the island again soon! PEG
