Wonderful expansive home adjacent to Abaco Inn. Perfect for a group of friends or large family as home offers 4 Bedrooms (2 Masters - 4 KINGS- 1 with option of 2 twins/King)/ 3 Baths, with private dock right in White Sound. This 2100 sq ft home was architecturally designed to maximize views and privacy. The first Master Bedroom is split for maximum privacy on the North side of home and has great views of the water and pool deck. There is a 2nd Master and with private bath and two guest bedrooms with large shared bath on the other side of the home. Each Master features sliding French doors to deck, pool, dock and White Sound. The 1500 sq ft deck with pool boasts a screened-in Bahamas Room with dining table as well as relaxing second living room for those who want to enjoy the warm weather but not the sun. The extensive sunning deck has plenty of seating and is right on the water. If you want a different view than this west-facing home, (the Atlantic side of the island has the sunrise) then simply settle onto the covered front porch for morning coffee or after-dinner Cuban Cigars and one of the area's specialty rum drinks like Bahama Mama or Goombay Smash. The homeowners are meticulous with details and the house has many extras. The custom home features high-end tile throughout, and the popular Abaco interior of tongue-and-groove cypress walls and ceilings. Captain's Quarters is accented with upscale wicker and rattan furnishings for a light, bright island feel. There are ceiling fans in every bedroom and living room but if the sea breezes are not enough, you are welcome to enjoy central A/C. Each of the four bedrooms offer Select Comfort (sleep number) King beds (one guest bedroom can be made up as two twins if you prefer). Wow! What a great vacation beach, boat, pool, towering tropical coconut palms AND a great nights sleep! Captain's Quarters wraps around the pool and Sea of Abaco maximizing water views from all rooms, especially nice for the chef, who can overlook the pool and Sea of Abaco. The kitchen is exceptional with Jenn-aire brand products including griddle, convection oven, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Guests love the kitchen island and can choose between eating at the breakfast bar area, more formal dining room, or the outside dining table. The owners have included basic spices and stocks; and just ask that in the same sharing spirit, any guests who finish an item, replace it. One wall is for pure entertainment including High Definition Satellite Television, stereo, DVD and CD library, books and board games. There is a separate den/living-room area for playing games, hanging out, and just relaxing. The owner has set up an office area on the opposite side which he shares, including internet. Just stroll over the 10 ft-wide road and sand dune to the lovely Atlantic Ocean Beach. Captain's Quarters has the best location for sunset deck/dock views. Stay at Captain Quarters today so you can have your boat in the back yard and easy access to sunrise beach walks, shelling, surfing, etc. When you are finished with a day of fishing, boating, beaching, you will find the garden setup refreshing - just pop into the outside shower before jumping in your private freshwater pool. You are a short distance from the lovely Abaco Inn with its dramatic restaurant/bar overlooking both the Atlantic Ocean and White Sound. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as hold special events such as art shows, weddings, wine tasting, etc. Close enough to enjoy but far enough away so that this extraordinary waterfront home remains private and quiet. Captain's Quarters is perfect for folks who bring a private boat to the Abacos.
The house is laid out very well and is in great shape, seems to be very new.
The deck and dock are awesome...great material with no worry of splinters for the little kids.

Only minor negatives I can think of are: Shallow entry for boats at lowtide but no problem with our 23 foot rental boat.

Thank you for commenting. I love that the boat is in the backyard and White Sound area can have some shallow sandy areas but it also depends on moons and tides and I think you had the some of the lowest tides during your stay. The channels should be clearly marked to help out during the extra low tides.
It was nice that you noticed the decking - we liked it so much and told the owners and he donated the entire deck for the Hope Town community pool. These homeowners are very generous to Hope Town people and the house has every thing you can imagine from specialty mattresses to pirate ring game on the front porch -- addictive!

We come to the Abaco Islands as often as we can. This house is perfect. It has all the amenities including great wireless as I had a few issues at work.The mattresses are the upscale sleep number and my wife has already ordered them for when we go home. The main reason we chose this house is the dock behind the house. Easy to bring the fish, etc. to the kitchen. Maybe I should not give all the good review so it will still be obtainable for my next trip.
