We had a wonderful time during our stay at Bali Hai Cottage. The cottage was very spacious and very well equipped. The deck and dock were a real plus -- wonderful places to get some sun, eat meals and enjoy the sunsets. We were at the opposite end of the island from town, but it was a short and very pleasant golf cart ride to get into town. We stopped in to visit the school and I would recommend that any visitors to Hopetown visit the school.

Thank you for your great review. Bali Hai Cottage is a wonderful island cottage - I love the coral fireplace and like you said, the owner has several very distinct areas to utilize outdoors -- enjoy screened in Bahamas Room, open air patio on water and garden side.
The school is very cool - one of my guest's son played his violin for the students, another sang opera and like you said, they are very appreciative of any visitors. I am glad you were able to meet some of our young people. The winner of the student of the year for the whole Bahamas was from Hope Town School, Anna Albury and she got to meet Prince Harry when he was in Nassau!

I am glad you had a good time and Bali Hai Cottage is very cool especially with the coral fireplace, master overlooking the sea and the long private dock.
Actually I know a great real estate company - Hope Town Hideaways. A lot of our homes are owned by former guests and we can give you some good ideas on how it works to own and rent a home on Elbow Cay - we've been doing it for over 21 years!
I will get one of the boys to update you on possibilities of owning your own rental house on Elbow Cay but in the meantime, you can always e-mail my husband Chris with your wish list and budget. If you can't find the house you want, he wil build one that is custom for you (he just finished up a big project, Firefly Sunset Resort and those cottages are gorgeous and would be perfect for a vacation rental.
