This 2100 sq ft home was architecturally designed to maximize views and privacy. One Master takes on the North side of home split from the other three bedrooms. The 1500 sq ft deck with pool boasts a screened-in “Bahamas Room” with dining table as well as relaxing second living room set-up and sunning deck. If you want a different view, (the Atlantic side of the island has the sunrise) then settle onto the front porch for morning coffee or after dinner Cuban Cigar, etc.The homeowners are meticulous with details and have tiled throughout and used a popular Abaco interior of tongue and groove cypress walls and ceilings. Captain’s Quarters is accented with upscale wicker and rattan furnishings for a light, bright island feel.There are ceiling fans in every bedroom and living room but if the sea breezes are not enough, you are welcome to enjoy central A/C.Each of the four bedrooms offer Select Comfort (sleep number) King beds (one guest bedroom can be made up as two twins if you prefer). Wow! What a great vacation – beach, boat, pool, towering tropical coconut palms AND a great night’s sleep!Captain’s Quarters wraps around the pool and Sea of Abaco maximizing water views from all rooms especially nice for the chef who overlooks the pool and Sea of Abaco. The kitchen is exceptional with Jenn-aire brand products including griddle, convection oven, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Guests love the kitchen island and can choose between eating at the breakfast bar area, more formal dining room or the outside dining table. The owners have included basic spices and stocks and just ask that in the same sharing spirit, any guests who finish an item replace it. One wall is for pure entertainment including High Definition Satellite Television, stereo, DVD and CD library, books and board games. This is a separate den/livingroom area for playing games, hanging out, and just relaxing. The owner has set-up an office area on the opposite side which he shares including. It is literally an “over the 10-ft road and sand dune” to the lovely Atlantic Ocean Beach. Captain’s Quarters has the best location for sunset deck / dock views, boat in the back yard and easy access sunrise beach walks, shelling, surfing, etc. When you are done with a day of fishing, boating, beaching, guests find the garden setup refreshing - just pop into the outside shower before jumping in your private freshwater pool.You are a short distance from the lovely Abaco Inn with its dramatic restaurant/bar overlooking both the Atlantic Ocean and White Sound. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as hold special events such as art shows, weddings, wine tasting, etc. Close enough to enjoy but far enough away so that it remains private and quiet at Captain’s Quarters.Many guests don’t want to leave the property with its indoor and outdoor games (Bocce Ball, Pirate Ring Game, etc.) and the kids say the fishing off the Captain’s Quarters’ dock is the best on the island. There is a tie vote on the best feature as the oversized BBQ grill and smoker, perfect for all those fish you catch in your backyard is pretty awesome!
