This magnificent private home is a redesign from the original Bali Hai and inspired by the islands bold tropical colors balanced with cool white travertine hand cut tiles and extensive hard wood features -- open beams, hand carved bed frames and floor to ceiling windows. The home offers exclusive extras and special custom packages. The location of Bali Hai is exceptional -- on the secluded privately owned, southern end of Elbow Cay affectionately nicknamed “Tahiti Beach” for the stunning crescent sand beaches fringed with the island’s tallest coconut palm trees. Your wraparound decks entice you to relax – gentle trade winds rocking your double hammock, waves lap and seagulls call as your captain readies the snorkel gear and gourmet picnic lunch for your afternoon outing. A few minutes by golf cart or boat and you are in the heart of the village of Hope Town. The candy-striped Elbow Cay Reef Lighthouse overlooks the pastel colored clapboard houses, sandy beaches and hidden coves as well as myriad waterfront eateries, music filled pubs, gift shops, gourmet coffee shop, bakeries, fish and fresh vegetable / fruit market, historic school house, museum, library, grocery stores, playground, etc. Only foot or bike traffic is allowed in the village and most island establishments include a boat dock in lieu of a parking lot. As a guest of Bali Hai at Tahiti Beach you will enjoy spacious living with amenities such as walk in closets, his and her bathroom areas, rain shower heads accented with separate body spray nozzles and wand. Though shared by up to 6 couples, the home offers tremendous privacy and ample interior and exterior living quarters. The first floor opens onto covered decks flanking the pool and private marina. There are two bedrooms on this level. The first is a huge corner bedroom accented with a faux finish the color of royalty. Guests love this gigantic guest bedroom with two Queen Beds, sitting area, private covered deck leading to pool, hot tub and sea beyond. The custom bath is spacious with double sinks, walk-in stone shower and a separate Jacuzzi tub. The second downstairs guest bedroom shares (Jack & Jill) the large bath and boasts a four poster King bed. There are two “sunken” living room areas complete with oversized fire place. Three sets of double French doors open to a pool side glass enclosed billards / lounging area adjacent to a wet bar (wine cooler, ice maker, sink, and specialty glassware) and butler’s pantry. Satellite radios as well as compatible ipod connections allow guests to enjoy their favorite tunes throughout the property or in select locations like the seaside pool area or open moon / sun deck on top of the master bedroom. The split level kitchen is professionally outfitted with stainless steel GE Monogram series refrigerator and a separate freezer. Several sink areas and double ovens allow for large group dining preparations or catering for your special event. Oversized laundry/ironing, pantry and “mud” rooms are strategically connected to a side door in the kitchen. An open fireplace divides the formal dining area from one of the living room areas as well as an alcoved computer center. The dining room table seats 12 and the extensive granite countertops offer 8 more seats. There is a half bath on this level. The floating staircase transcends the open beam living area and enters the upper half of Bali Hai at Tahiti Beach. There is total privacy for these other four bedrooms including a master suite wing complete with living area, media room, kitchenette, several wet bars, corner balcony overlooking pool, private marina and Sea of Abaco as well as a secret spiral staircase leading to roof top adventures on the super private open deck. This home and especially the master suite is a favorite of honeymooners. Other second floor bedrooms include Tequila Sunrise with a deluxe artist subtle coloring of the walls to allude to tropical sunrises and island sunsets. King bed, sitting area, cedar walk-in closet, luxury bathroom makes even this guest room feel like a master bedroom. Key Lime Pie is right out of Key West with hand carved tropical accents and vibrant lovely colors that would please serious island folk like Jimmy Buffett and Ernest Hemingway! There is also a cedar walk-in closet and sitting / reading area. Banana Cream Pie also is a King suite and has a light and airy ambiance and ensuite bath as well. The King four poster bed captures the water view and sunsets over nearby islands. All Bali Hai 2nd floor bedrooms boast an ensuite bath. Each shower -- a spa like experience. The towels are the finest quality and guests may use monogrammed bathrobes for spa showers or for the pool / deck area. Bring your own yacht up to 100 feet, electric and water can be arranged. Dockage in Abaco is limited but you will have your boat right in your back yard. The marina has many features including covered and open decks, floating docks for the complimentary Hobie Cat and Kayaks. Bali Hai at Tahiti Beach’s dock is just behind the luxury home so you will have easy access and convenience if you include your own private staff. However, the best “feature” of the home is the on-property host, Adam Lawrence. He serves as a personal concierge who will discover all your holiday desires and arrange everything from groceries and libations to bone fishing, lighthouse tours, kayak excursions, day sailing, surfing, island hopping, windsurfing, jet skiing, golf, tennis, deep sea fishing, etc. He will contact you several weeks before your arrival to discover your preferences for food, drinks, activities, tours, etc. If you need special services like wedding ceremonies or specialty cakes, island reggae bands, babysitters or scuba instruction, he lives on the island year round and has all the contacts. Bali Hai at Tahiti Beach recommends a talented chef during your stay that will prepare breakfast, lunch (including picnics for sailing, fishing and beaching outings), happy hour snacks, dinner and after dinner snacks.
