We have told everybody about the great island of Hope Town. It was much more than we had expected. Great people, great food, great fun. Also, Hope Town Hideaways was great to work with (from the first phone call to book, to sadly checking out at the end). You will be hearing from us again for our next vacation.
Thank you again,
The Mundens
P.S. We had stayed at the Flamingo Villa. Nothing better in my book!!!!!

We are looking forward to our week of no kids, no phones, no traffic, no dog
and doing a whole lot of nothing...or everything as the spirit moves. By
the way, Sharon from your office has been unbelieveably helpful and patient
with us as we planned this trip - our first to that area of the world.

"Chris and Peg were very hospitable; this place has the most luxurious
accommodations on the island. Great place for a honeymoon; this is the first
time to Hope Town. Been to Treasure Cay and Green Turtle Cay, but Hope Town
is the nicest yet. Great places to eat.

We have had a week here in the sunshine while at home they freeze! Having
looked over the entire island (not too hard to do!) Hope Town Hideaways are
by far the cleanest, prettiest holiday villas on Elbow Cay. It's our second
visit and Charlie and Henry will return to marry Jade and Shannon!

We had a great time at Hope Town Hideaways and only regretted it was so
short (10 days). The weather was fantastic as were Peggy and Chris! The
villa was so comfortable especially the air conditioning. We have stayed
many places in and around Hope Town and can certainly verify that Hope Town
Hideaways is one of the best.
Until next year.

Chris and Peggy,
Our visit to Hope Town and Conch Pearl was great. This is paradise - it is
so peaceful and relaxing. We especially enjoyed meeting you and your family.
Thanks for your genuine hospitality. It must be great living in paradise all
the time - the kids, Jade, Shannon and Dylan are beautiful!
A big thanks to Olga and Frances for all their help. Most of all a big
thanks to Charles and Mary Helen McCallum, our dear friends for inviting us.
Once again, thanks for every thing and we will return to this beautiful
island again.

This is our fifth visit. Charles and I always look forward to our short term
home. Can't wait to see all your new projects. I am especially grateful for
making the accommodations for us. You must come to St. Augustine (Crescent
Beach) to visit us.
Much Love to Peggy Chris Jade Shannon and Dylan

We had a wonderful time great weather great villa great island.
Most memorable to us has been the quiet friendliness of all here at
Hideaways and also the locals and staff at the various restaurants and
marinas. My advice to any followers is to definitely rent a boat and explore
the island and reefs. Chris and Peggy made great recommendations about Sandy
Cay and Fowl cay. We enjoyed Pelican Cays very much as well.
Thanks to Peggy and Chris for their special attention and for answering all
of our questions.

"This is one of the most beautiful places in the Bahamas. Dean and I enjoyed
ourselves and saw a huge sting ray and big starfish! The beaches are
beautiful. We spent our honeymoon here. We will be back again. Frances is
very nice and helpful - we would love to borrow him to landscape our home!

What a wonderful place to get away and hide away if you want! We swam, we
fished, we snorkeled, we ate. All had a great time and we all are looking
forward to next year for more of the same. I already booked my villa!

Dear Peg, Chris, Jade, Shannon & Dylan,
Congratulations on a dream come true - your Hope Town Hideaways are just
like paradise. It is so fitting that you would have these villas, because
you have both always had the knack of being the ultimate hosts even in the
good old "college days." The kids had such a great time snorkeling, boating,
fishing, etc. I don't think Anthony will every forget his trip around the
harbour in the dinghy (all by himself). We love you guys. Thanks again for
everything, we will be back soon.

Today I got to Hope Town and it is great! I saw a shark, barracuda, lobster,
eel and lots of fish and that was only off the Hideaways dock!

This is a very peaceful and tranquil place! Been to lots of islands and the
people here are very cool, polite, cordial and friendly. Sky was blue. Stars
were bright. Snorkeling visibility 50-75 feet.
After unsuccessfully being able to catch our dinner from the bounty of the
sea, we did the next best thing....EAT OUT! Hope Town Harbour Lodge Food
outstanding **** Nassau Royale Grouper. Service here is what you would find
at most higher priced restaurants. Extremely professional but so much more
personal! Just go! Quiet and romantic! Harbour's Edge Best Food Fresh Fish
Nice folks. Watch out for Kalik Gold.
Go to Pete's Pub in Little Harbor. Well worth it.

A favorite pastime is sitting on the deck of Conch Pearl and watching the
boats coming into the harbor. We love the island so much and are looking for
a place of our own!
We watched lively, healthy and happy children enjoy Jade's birthday party at
the Hideaways' gardens. Thanks for the chocolate on chocolate birthday cake.
We had so much fun and appreciate our hosts Chris and Peggy and after all
isn't that what life is all about?

Greetings fellow Hideaways guests!
Ten days have come and gone in what has seemed like an instant. We returned
after a wonderful stay last year and were pleased to find our cottage still
looking like new, and thanks to all those who have stayed here for taking care
of it - I hope those who follow will do the same.
What a treat it was to feast on the home-grown tomatoes growing right
outside our door, not to mention bananas that we harvested and some fresh
parsley that I snipped from the garden to use in the clam sauce.
During our stay, we enjoyed doing our favorite things - diving at Sandy Cay,
dinner at Abaco Inn (still the most beautiful dining experience if you dine
alfresco), shopping in Hope Town and Man-O-War and deep sea fishing. Our
Men-folk learned how to fish with a hand line in the age old Bahamian
fashion and caught some gorgeous snapper for us to grill. We also had plenty
to take home to savor at a later date.
I especially enjoyed vegetating on the porch, listening to the serenade of
the birds, feasting my eyes on the boats in the harbour and watching our
resident curly tail lizard walk by on the banister puffing up his throat as
if to remind me that this is his sanctuary and that I am merely a visitor!
So I bid you farewell along with the rest of my family until next year.
Warmly Robin Jenkins

P.S. Is this heaven? No it's the Hope Town Hideaways....
