The Lodge Beach is an extension of the Town Beach but after a slight turn and a rock outcrop so technically you can find a protected ocean beach by chosing one of the two village beaches. Again Hope Town Hideaways rentals have several homes directly on this beach. Snorkelers can walk directly from the beach to the live reef just off shore and there is an advantage to having the restaurant as part of the Lodge easy access from the beach. So pina coladas, lunch, cold beers and ice cream for the children are just a few sandy steps up to the Reef Bar.
